Traditional version:

Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater,
Had a wife and could not keep her.
So he put her in a pumpkin shell,
And there he kept her very well.

Updated:

Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater,
Had a wife and could not keep her.
But Peter's wife was not a snob,
She looked around and found a job,
And now the wife is keeping Peter.
