Story about two wolves.

Once, long ago, an old Indian revealed a truth about life to his grandson.

"In every human, there is a constant struggle, resembling the fight between two wolves.

One wolf represents evil--envy, jealousy, regret, egotism, ambition, lies.

The other wolf represents good--peace, love, hope, truth, kindness, fidelity..."

The little boy, who was touched to the depths of his heart by his grandfathers's words, thought this over for a few moments, and then asked: "So which wolf wins at the end?"

The old Indian smiled, barely noticeably, and replied, "The wolf whom you feed always wins..."

Well, it's a great story...but! I don't think it's quite so black and white...For instance, the story mentions egotism and ambition as being evil things...but they can also be good or, at least, lead to good deeds.

Have you ever seen ST:TOS episode "Wolf in the Fold"? It is something like that I'm trying to say as well.
