What isn't so funny is that a lot of people gave him their childern's college savings and their retirement funds. And at least 1 woman killed her two daughters and slit her throat (probably crazy anyway, but she survived and was able to cite Camping as her inspiration). He needs to spend what little time he has left on earth in jail. But the prosecutors in this country wont touch him.

Yeah, I was just looking at articles abt all this...yes, that's the sad part--so many people gave their money, changed their plans, etc etc, and even, as you say, did things such as you mention...

Yes...I saw a news article earlier today that somebody posted to FB about a fellow who was going to kill off his parakeet and cat and dog "so they wouldn't have to suffer"...but I had no idea people gave away their life's savings or killed their children...

One thing bugging me is that he and his people are being described as "conservative Christians" when, in fact, he was a conservative Christian who left conservative/reformed Christianity twenty-five years ago and became a nutter.
