As to the photo in my post--it was taken by Igor Shpilenok, a naturalist-photographer working in a wildlife sanctuary in Kamchatka, in the north of Russia--it's this year's fox cub and the male fox (the male fox had stolen the photographer's flashlight and sausage the year before ;)
