More about global warming

Frozen Black Sea

The Black Sea has frozen near Odessa's shores. The piers are covered with ice, and the ice drifts extend for hundreds of meters. In recent years, the winters in Odessa have been warm, and that has become normal. This winter, on the other hand, is characterized by sharp and extensive cold spells, which had led to the water freezing near the shoreline. This phenomenon occurs very rarely: the last time the sea at Odessa's shoreline completely froze was in 1977.

Yeah, unusually cold...And it's summertime for you, isn't it? What have the average temps been like in your area in the last week or two? :)

Temps out here have been around 11C to 14C at night with 17C up to 29C for the day roughly. More can be seen at the link below.

Been a very cool and wet summer here, with some places getting far more rain than they want, with major flooding happening, (not near me though). A whole town, (St George) is going to be evacuated due to the river expected to reach it's highest peak on record fairly soon.
