I did three semesters' worth of chemistry in college and didn't know several of them either, so don't feel bad ;)
I can't read #1 well enough to Google it. Thermometers? Oh - found it. C8H9NO2 is what I couldn't read. I thought the H9 was Hg.

You're right, #8 must be eggs; if it didn't specify "and contents", then I would've said it must be chalk.
