Last week in Tasmania

Over the last week in Tasmania a dinoflagellate bloom by Noctiluca scintillans (also known as sea sparkle) has made for some amazing pictures.

Also known as a red tide during daylight, the bioluminescent algae glows a stunning blue if disturbed at night.
