Being compassionate, empathic and kind are wonderful traits. However, as you reach out to others please be mindful that you don't allow yourself to take on something that is not yours to carry. It is painful for us to see others suffering and there are many who have a desire to help wherever they see a need. There will be some who would be happy to load you up with their troubles for as long as you are willing to carry them. Please remember, you are not a pack mule.
