Poem of the day from Calvin and Hobbes

med_cat: (cat in dress)

"At night my mind does not much care
If what it thinks is here or there.
It tells me stories it invents
And makes up things that don't make sense.
I don't know why it does this stuff.
The real world seems quite weird enough."

Isn't it? Don't know the illustrator or the edition; I got it from the Writer's Circle FB page. I can ask there if you want?

Oh, I don't think I'll be tracking it down for a hard copy, I'm not a particular C&H fanatic. Although I'd probably go for it if I stumbled across a reasonably-priced copy. It is dazzling, though, the colours and the imagery.

I initially misread the last line as 'The real world seems quite weird though.' The misrhyme rendered it hilarious somehow: I think I'll keep it that way in my head.
