This journal is mostly public because most of it contains poetry, quotations, pictures, jokes, videos, and news (medical and otherwise). If you like what you see, you are welcome to drop by, anytime. I update frequently.

Quote of the day

med_cat: (cat in dress)
“Waiting for a sign? What sign do you await, besides your own misery? What sign, besides the calendar that reminds you how many days and years you’ve thrown away?

What other sign do you need besides the burning inner fire that demands you’re better than what you’ve settled for?
Stop lying to yourself! You have seen so many signs… you know what you want… no more delays… no more excuses!

Our days are too limited to wait for signs… Life IS a sign! Go live it!”

~ Steve Maraboli

I feel that this might help a friend of mine explain why incremental change, rather than immediate large changes, can often create despair rather than hope...

One feels one is moving too slowly and making no progress with incremental changes, I suppose?

By all means, pass this on to your friend.

This quote also reminds me of another book, not by Steve Maraboli--I'll buy it sometime and share if it's as good as it seems from an excerpt I'd read.
