I back up to Dreamwidth regularly, every week or so...you should be able to read the entries there.

I'd start cross-posting from DW if they started offering the scheduled posts feature. I sent a suggestion in early summer, they replied that it was in the works...

(and I still have a few friends who post to LJ, although most of the few active comms I'd followed moved to DW; two still remain on LJ exclusively: 1word1day and greatpoets)

I believe there is a way to do scheduled posts, via another route, and I know someone who's done it, I might ask her sometime.

Re: your Reading view--I think there is a way to add alerts, etc. I can find out if you want?
