With snow the roads and fields are white
But here the forest's clothed with light
And in a shining sheath enrolled.
Each branch, each twig, each blade of grass,
Seems clad miraculously with glass:
Above the ice-bound streamlet bends
Each frozen fern with crystal ends.

Yesterday our mountains were completely hidden behind a lowering cloud of sloppy slush coming down sideways, but this morning's dawn revealed them shining white against the bright-blue sky; all the forests above the snow-line totally coated in heavy, sticky snow.
Now the New Moon is hanging clear and gold, with the Old Moon in her arms, just above the mountains - which are invisible in the dark, but I'll see the bottom of the Moon obscured by them in a few minutes, before she sinks out of sight behind them entirely. A beautiful way for Winter to begin. ^^
Sounds beautiful, you should take some photos sometime.
