My Virtual Reading Room

Another book by an author whose book I'd come upon by chance, a couple of years ago, in the Little Free Library, and enjoyed. A collection of essays, somewhat akin to Montaigne's or Robert Fulghum's.

"Look Inside" is, of course, not available, as it's an older, out-of-print book.

Review #1: Five stars. Very inspiring and uplifting.

Review #2: One star. Spare me. Vastly rich shallow lady writes drivel about her religious fervor.

Review #3: Five stars. A library keeper. I think this is a most enjoyable book. It is inspirational and uplifting.

(in case you're wondering, the author is Faith Baldwin, and the book reviewed is "Face Toward the Spring." The one I'd read is "Evening Star".)

Bonus review bit: a review for a bookseller:

"This book either had to be printed after ordering and the ink had to dry or it was shipped on a slow boat from China. It took 11 days to travel 1,100 miles. Hmmmmm . . . 100 miles per day. The book could have walked faster by itself."
