The patient advocacy project

med_cat: (Stethoscope)
Well, sort of, and family advocacy too. This is the project I mentioned in my last entry.

I'm helping to translate into English, and to edit, along with [personal profile] lindahoyland

This is a short slide presentation (in English), from the project team. Please let me know if the link doesn't work.

Comments/suggestions/corrections are welcome, of course

This is a great project, thank you.
It's also a really great presentation.
Slide 5 has a typo in "Ukrainians". "We dream to" is not proper English, "we dream of" is better, "our dream is to" is best. Instead of "the" should be "this" book, because you aren't trying to imply a capital ("The Book"). Money should have a $ and no space ($150,000). Number formats must be consistent, you can't have "150 000" and "160,000" in one presentation.
Slide 8 has "the loved one" instead of "a loved one".
Slide 9 has "sew" instead of "connect"
Slide 10 has inconsistent number formatting. There are missing articles in "an online platform" and "a limited edition"

This is fascinating, and such an important project. I am aware of different structures and taboos regarding palliative care...vast changes in the years I have been working. Anything useful I can do? And I realise, I do not know much about the structure of palliative care in the States . We have MacMillan...a charity providing lots of information to medical staff and patients and families...lots of resources on their website.

Thank you :)

And thank you for the offer as well. I shall let you know in the next few days; I'm supposed to talk to the project coordinator soon.

That's good to know re: MacMillan, I'll have to take a look at their website, and to research if there's a similar organization in the US as well
