Cat roams university campus for 4 years, gets doctoral degree, from The Washington Post

My mother, child of the Great Depression, didn't make soap, but she kept bacon grease in an old, handleless coffee cup. I don't recall seeing her use it, but its keeping was tribute to a time when fat for frying was scarce or expensive.

When I was a child myself, I had a vague idea that I needed wilderness survival skills, so I was glad to learn from Organic Farming and Gardening how to make soap.
