the focus needs to be on reducing the toxicity of the health and social care system and working environment, rather than trying to artificially bolster people’s resilience to deal with a situation that is toxic.

I needed to be reminded about that. Thank you.

Oh yes. It's a good article, presents a balanced view. I mean, I agree that, as it mentions, resilience is useful, but the largest problem is not the lack of resilience.

After experiencing "natural" menopause, and after having had a hysterectomy because of endometrial cancer, I decided to "remanufacture myself" and started learning new skills. I was a fairly resilient person to begin with, and I'm glad I chose to do it that way.
